Rob Cale // Profile
I’m a landscape photographer based on the Gower Peninsula. Growing up here, I’ve always been drawn to the coast, specifically the way the light and tides change the texture of the shoreline. While the Welsh coast is my home base, I travel as often as I can to document different environments, from the raw glacial waterfalls of Iceland to the dense and rugged bushland of New Zealand.
My work is mostly a study of patterns and geometry in nature. I’m interested in the quiet details that define a place, whether that’s the rippled silt in a sand dune or a rare sighting like a leucistic red kite hunting in the snow.
This site is a live archive of those trips and technical studies. If you’re interested in a print or want to discuss a specific project, feel free to give me a shout via the contact page.
